IEEE-CPMT Workshop on Education in Electronics Packaging


Dear Members of the CPMT Switzerland Chapter and Associates

On behalf of the Chapter Board, I have the pleasure to invite
you to our next Event. It is organized as a workshop where we
will address the following topic:

ELECTRONICS PACKAGING EDUCATION IN SWITZERLAND.

During this summer, the board of the CPMT Switzerland Chapter has
run a survey, collecting EP education information from ETH, EPFL
and most FHs in Switzerland. The questionaire was asking whether
electronics packaging was taught at all, if yes on what topics,
at which semester, for how many students, and if practial work
was included in the lecture program.

The scope of the workshop will be to give the participants a
summary of the survey, to present in more details different
viewpoints from education and from industry side, and finally
to provide a platform for discussions.

The goals are to get an overview about the current situation
on electronics packaging in Switzerland, to formulate strengths
and gaps, and to identify if there is need for change.
